  • Recommended T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Featherlite Enclosed Horse Trailer
Hey Heidi thanks for the pictures! You are correct you do need the 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Enclosed Trailer item # 37211755. It is 6" long and has a 45 degree hook and keeper like yours. As far as removing the old ones go. You'll want to center punch all of the rivets with a chisel and then you can drill them out with a small 3 mm drill bit. If you have any additional questions feel free to throw them into the comment box below and I'll be happy to answer them.

  • Recommended Trailer Door Keepers for Horse Trailer Main and Tack Room Door
Since you have some obstructions on the side of the trailer preventing the main door from swinging all the way open you'll need to use an angled door keeper like the 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder part # 37211765. Then for the tack room you should be able to get away with just a standard keeper like the T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Trailer Rear or Side Door part # PLR9-SS. I have attached a full list of options below as well if you don't think the above will work...

  • Door Keeper Options for Horse Trailer with Swinging Rear Doors
If you have obstructions on the side of the trailer that would prevent the door from swinging all the way open then you will want to consider using either an angled door keeper like the 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder part # 37211765 or an extended one like the T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for RV or Enclosed Trailer part # 37210515 for 4" or part # 37210525 for 6". In order to confirm fit you will need to measure to see how far away from the trailer the door can get...

  • What To Do If Your Entry Door Open Angle Doesn't Match Up Well To The Wall For A Door Holder
A shorter hook would help with the angle of the door to help get the hook into the holder for your trailer's door. An option with a 45 degree bend in it, like the part # 37211765, would give you a better option to work with the angle of the door, but you might have to change the placement of the holder to properly fit with the door. I recommend installing the hook on the door first and then holding the door up to the wall of the trailer to find the correct spot for the holder. This would...

  • Recommended Sealant For Old Mounting Screw Holes In The Side Of An RV
You can use some Non-Sag Sealant # 344270341437-1 to fill in the old latch screw holes when installing your new 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Enclosed Trailer # 37211765.

  • Door Keepers For Holding Enclosed Trailer Entry Door Open at 90 Degree Or 45 Degree Angle
The 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder # 37211765 and 90-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder # 37211785 would allow you to hold your entry door open for additional ventilation. While these are stainless steel and very strong I would warn against using in very strong winds as it could damage the door or trailer skin if a strong enough gust is blowing. You can use multiple holders on the door but do remember to unhook them before trying to close or open the door. The hook...

  • Is the Hook and Keeper for Enclosed Trailer Door PLR9-A Spring Loaded
The Hook and Keeper for Enclosed Trailer Door part # PLR9-A are not spring loaded. That said, we do have spring loaded options like the 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Enclosed Trailer part # 37211765. We don't have any straight spring loaded hook and keepers unfortunately.

  • Your camper shell will be fine using the 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Enclosed Trailer - 3-3/4" - Stainless Steel Item # 37211765 to hold the door open, even in the wind. I recommend using some Butyl Tape Item # 344270341411-1 on the brackets to ensure a water tight seal in the screw holes and will also add some extra grip strength to your brackets.
